The History of Modular Performance/Tymensky Enterprises
In 1990, Tymensky Enterprises Incorporated was created to add legitimacy to the racing program that had evolved over some time through son, Mike, and father, John. After racing for so long, the team decided to dip into the world of Modular with the creation of their Skinny Kid Racecars 2000 GT. The result of using a motor that had little-to-no aftermarket backing at the time had spawned innovation....not just to compete, but to survive.

At the time, we thought, the majority of the companies that sold equipment for modular cars either could not be flexible in pricing, or deliver repeatable quality. So, Modular Performance (a division of TEI) was created as a result of the duo having to modify or develop so much of the equipment they were using. They decided they could offer this quality, repeatably, at an affordable price.
Now, the year is 2006. Modular Performance is celebrating 10 years in the Modular business. We have grown bit-by-bit over time, and continues to show signs of progress. The crew is back together, "Cobra X" is getting a updated 358" Modular GT engine, and Modular Performance is taking its shot at the NMRA in 2006.
