About TRC Racing Components

Total Racing components is not just another high performance products company. TRC is a family owned and operated business with experience stemming back to 1960. Charlie Serra, founder of TRC, raced in the late 50's when having a hot rod meant that you built it from the ground up. He started modifying carburetors and ignition systems for his own race cars, which turned into doing them for his buddies and their buddies.

The Serra family started TRC in 1981, developing carburetors for many top race teams. As quoted from one customer, "If you didn't have a TRC carburetor, you might as well stay home." TRC developed many different stages of modified carburetors, cylinder heads, intake manifolds, camshafts, starters and alternators for many applications including: street performance, drag race, circle track, marine, and offroad 4x4.
In 1991, the Serra family wanted to keep the personal touch of a smaller company in each product. They downsized the company, changed the name and moved to the Northeast, closer to the majority of their customers, and the racing action. Specializing in just carburetors and ignition systems, they were able to devote more time to add new stages of carburetors, as well as a complete line of ignition parts and accessories.

After the turn of the century, Craig and Charlie Serra decided a change of pace was needed. That change was returning the name to TRC, and offering a full line of starters, alternators and mounting brackets, along with the carburetor portion of the business. Established now near Reading, PA, TRC can offer quality products at great prices, with a hands on technical staff who will make sure you get the correct product the first time for your performance application.

Today at TRC's state of the art facility, in Denver, PA, it's not uncommon to see performance vehicles of every shape and size.
